W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Marine Power, Power Supply, R&D and Engineering, Testing & Validation looking for a Test Engineer with a main responsibility in component testing at our test rigs. This is a permanent position located in Vaasa.<\/p>\n

Your role and responsibilities<\/p>\n

As a Test Engineer your work will include test setup, testing and reporting. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. Youll be working as a part of energetic Rig Testing team with diverse expertise.<\/p>\n

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:<\/p>\n

* Maintenance, development, and upgrading of test engines\/rigs and test infra
\n * Steering, guiding, and carrying out mechanical assembly tasks related to different test setups
\n * Planning, organizing, and executing component, performance, and functionality tests on test engines\/rigs
\n * Analysing and reporting of test results
\n * Verification of correct and properly saved measurement data
\n * Usage of different control and measurement programs
\n * Update and development of test methods and facilities
\n * Supporting different activities in product and technology testing
\n * Co-operating with product\/platform teams and expert organization<\/p>\n

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:<\/p>\n

* Relevant technical education (MSc or BSc in suitable field of engineering)
\n * Interest in and basic knowledge of engine technology, deeper knowledge of 4-stroke engine technology is an advantage
\n * Good skills in control & measurement systems are an advantage
\n * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
\n * Good skills in communication and documentation
\n * Good team working skills, as well as the ability to work independently
\n * Good command of English, Finnish or Swedish is seen as an advantage
\n * Experience in technology and product development related tasks is seen as an advantage<\/p>\n
