Due to rapid growth and increasing challenges in global component availability, you will play a key part in securing the continuity of production by ensuring the availability of electronic components across ABBs global supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>While this role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Finland, most of your team is based in Vaasa, and occasional on-site presence (approximately once per month) is expected to support collaboration and team connection.<\/p>\n<p>You are offered<br \/>\n&#8211; A meaningful role in a fast-growing electrification business, where you contribute to solving real-world supply chain challenges on a global scale<br \/>\n&#8211; A stable and international work environment with strong opportunities for learning and career development within ABB<br \/>\n&#8211; Epassi lunch card and versatile occupational health care services<\/p>\n<p>You will be employed in this role through Academic Work. As a consultant at Academic Work you are offered a great opportunity to grow as a professional, extend your network and establish valuable contacts for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Work tasks<\/p>\n<p>You will work as part of a procurement team and operate at the intersection of operational purchasing and strategic sourcing, coordinating multiple stakeholders including suppliers, distributors, brokers, R&#038;D, and contract manufacturers worldwide. The role is operational in nature and requires daily hands-on coordination with stakeholders to resolve component shortages and keep production running.<br \/>\n&#8211; Source critical electronic components from global markets and suppliers<br \/>\n&#8211; Expedite component deliveries and manage supplier relationships to mitigate shortages<br \/>\n&#8211; Collaborate with R&#038;D on identifying and approving alternative component solutions<br \/>\n&#8211; Participate in meetings with stakeholders to monitor availability and market conditions<br \/>\n&#8211; Manage direct purchases and inventory of critical components to support production needs<br \/>\n&#8211; Support inventory and system-related processes (SAP)<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A relevant educational background (e.g. engineering, supply chain, business or similar)<br \/>\n&#8211; Excellent communication skills in English, as you will work in a global environment<br \/>\n&#8211; Confidence working with different tools, such as Excel and SAP<br \/>\n&#8211; Work experience from either:<br \/>\n&#8211; Technical \/ electronics background:<br \/>\n&#8211; Understanding of electronic components and their applications<br \/>\n&#8211; Basic knowledge of how component markets and sourcing work<br \/>\n&#8211; OR commercial \/ procurement background:<br \/>\n&#8211; Solid similar experience in procurement or sourcing<br \/>\n&#8211; Experience working with suppliers and component availability<\/p>\n<p>Fluency in Finnish is seen as an asset.<\/p>\n<p>As an employee you are:<br \/>\n&#8211; Proactive and solution-oriented<br \/>\n&#8211; Comfortable navigating in a global environment with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities<br \/>\n&#8211; Precise yet skilled at looking at the bigger picture<br \/>\n&#8211; Strong communicator<\/p>\n<p>A drug test will be conducted for the selected candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Our recruitment process<br \/>\nThis recruitment process is handled by Academic Work and it is our clients wish that all questions regarding the position is directed to Academic Work.<\/p>\n<p>Our selection process is continuous and the advert may close before the recruitment process is completed if we have moved forward to the next phase.
