Join us in enabling breakthrough science alongside curious, highly skilled colleagues.At Bluefors, we design and manufacture the worlds most advanced cryogenic cooling systems, enabling leading research and emerging technologies such as quantum computing. To strengthen our Cooling team within Offering Development, we are now looking for a Scientist, Cooling with strong physical insight and a clear focus on realworld products.In this role, you will work closely on hardware and system development, contributing scientific expertise directly to the design, validation, and optimization of cryogenic cooling systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers, system experts, and project teams, translating physical understanding into practical, robust, and scalable solutions. Your work will support systemlevel decisionmaking and help ensure Bluefors cooling solutions meet the demanding requirements of advanced scientific and industrial applications. You will engage in international collaboration with Bluefors teams and external partners, contributing to joint development.We are looking for an expert who enjoys combining theory with practice, is curious about how systems behave in the real world and takes pride in building solutions that work reliably outside the lab. We offer a multicultural working environment with room to grow, where you can fully use your potential and continuously develop your skills.Main responsibilities:Apply physicsbased understanding to the development and optimization of cryogenic cooling systemsAnalyze and model thermal, mechanical, and physical phenomena in cryogenic environmentsParticipate in concept development, validation activities, and structured problemsolvingCollaborate closely with engineers, system experts, and project teamsContribute to continuous improvement of cooling performance, robustness, and reliabilityDocument and communicate scientific findings clearly to diverse technical and nontechnical stakeholdersWhat we expect from you:MSc or PhD in physics or a closely related fieldStrong understanding of physics relevant to cryogenic or lowtemperature systemsAbility to translate theoretical insight into practical engineering relevanceAnalytical and structured way of workingCuriosity, critical thinking, and a solutionoriented mindsetExcellent collaboration and communication skills in a multistakeholder environmentFluency in English, both written and spokenWe also appreciate:Experience with cryogenics, lowtemperature physicsExperience working close to hardware or experimental systemsExperience of Mechanical Engineering (CAD software)Experience of software tools related to measurements and data analyses (Python)Exposure to multidisciplinary product development environmentsA positive, handson attitude with strong problemsolving skillsCuriosity and passion for highend technologyPlease apply as soon as possible, on May 10, 2026, at the latest through our recruitment system at BLUEFORS.COM.
